Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and GOBAHAMAS — A WAG242 Mobility Platform, covering the website and the iOS and Android apps. By creating an account or booking through the network you accept them.

1. What the service is

GOBAHAMAS is a booking and dispatch network that connects passengers and shippers with independently licensed Bahamian taxi, livery, community ride, boat, air charter and tour operators. We coordinate the booking, the fare and the record; the transport itself is performed by the licensed operator or driver.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older, give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse of drivers, or repeated no-shows.

3. Fares and payment

  • Taxi trips to or from Lynden Pindling International Airport are charged at the government-published New Providence zone fares, not the per-kilometre tariff. Published extras for additional passengers, luggage and the Paradise Island bridge toll may apply.
  • Community, taxi and livery trips outside those zones are quoted on a base fee plus per-kilometre tariff shown before you confirm.
  • The price you see is the price you pay — no tax is added at checkout, and your receipt shows the same total.
  • Operator guide prices are set by the operator. The operator confirms the final price when they accept your request; nothing is added on top by the network.
  • Accepted payment methods: Debit or credit card; Apple Pay and Google Pay; Local bank transfer — RBC, Scotiabank, Bank of The Bahamas, CIBC, Commonwealth; Cash App; Zelle; PayPal; Sand Dollar. Local payments must quote the reference given in the app. The network does not accept cash. Every journey is paid through the app so the fare, the receipt and the driver's earnings all match.
  • Charter bookings may require a deposit before the booking is confirmed.

4. Cancellations

Cancelling after a driver has been assigned may incur a cancellation fee, shown in the app before you confirm the cancellation. Drivers may request cancellation with a reason; non-emergency driver cancellations require dispatcher approval. Emergency and safety-related cancellations are not charged.

5. Community Ride

Community Ride is a neighbourhood service for local passengers. Community drivers must hold a current Public Service Driver badge and comprehensive insurance. Community Ride may drop off at the airport, cruise port and resorts but may not accept pickups from those locations, which remain reserved for licensed taxi and livery operators.

6. Charters and approved operators

Air, boat, jet ski and tour charters are sold only through operators approved and listed on the network. Availability, weather cancellations, safety rules and refund conditions for charters are set by the operator and shown at booking.

7. Package tracking and delivery

Package tracking reflects information supplied by couriers and freight partners and may lag actual movement. Freight, duty and delivery charges are shown before dispatch. Delivery is confirmed with a photo or signature and a GPS timestamp. Prohibited, hazardous or illegal goods may not be shipped or carried.

8. Passenger and shipper conduct

Do not endanger, harass or discriminate against drivers, damage vehicles, or carry illegal items. Cleaning or damage costs may be charged to your account. We may remove users who break these rules.

9. Drivers and operators

Drivers and operators must keep a valid licence, badge, insurance and vehicle inspection current, follow Bahamian road traffic law and the published tariffs, and complete jobs accepted through the app. Documents are reviewed before approval and may be re-checked at any time.

10. Location and notifications

The app uses your device location to set pickup points and to show live vehicle position during a trip or delivery, and sends push notifications about trip and package status. You may withdraw either permission in device settings; some features will then be limited.

11. Liability

We provide the booking platform. Transport is provided by independent licensed operators who carry their own insurance. To the extent permitted by Bahamian law, our liability for any claim connected with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, sea conditions, traffic, customs or events outside our control.

12. Changes, termination and law

We may update these terms and will post the new date above; continued use is acceptance. You may close your account at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
